About Me

My photo
North Georgia, United States
I have been an artist for as long as I can remember and photography is my passion. I used to be a successful fine artist, but since I shot my first wedding I never looked back. I am madly and completely in love with weddings, I guess it is the romantic in me :)

Congratulations Susan and Steve!

Yesterday Susan and Steve got married at Glen Ella, a lovely romantic place nestled in the woods near Clarkesville, Georgia. It was a pleasure to cover their wedding, we were so lucky the weather did not let us down and it turned out to be a wonderful day for February.
Congratulations Susan and Steve!

Wet Cat!

Last night Steve and I decided to go into the hot tub and we took Lacey our Golden Retriever out with us so she could run around a bit. Well, she and Max our cat decided to chase each other and Max jumped into the 103 degree water by mistake thinking the cover was on. What a surprise...........when he landed. After I got out I looked for him, because I did not want him to stay outside all wet and when I found him he was covered in icicles.........and was so happy that he was able to get warm in front of the fire. Poor little guy, but I have to say it was funny, if we had this on video we would win the price for funniest home videos for sure.

Almost a week........

Tomorrow it will be a week that Steve and I are married. I have to say it has been
a wonderful week and I hope with all my heart that our life will always be as nice as it has been so far.
We received one of the most thoughtful gifts from a friend of mine, Catherine Miller...... Catherine is an incredible artist. She made Steve and I the most beautiful crystal glasses for our wedding. They are one of a kind and we will always treasure them. Thank you Catherine, not only are the glasses special, but so are you.
If any of my brides read this blog, I recommend that you check out her website in case you are looking for glasses for your wedding.

We DID it!!!!!

Yesterday was Valentines Day and our wedding day. Steve and I got married, in a very small and intimate little wedding. It was held at my best friends estate "Splendor Mountain" and since
she is also a minister she herself did the honor of marrying us.
Steve and I decided last night after it all was over and done with that we were extremely happy on how everything went during this special day. I have to admit it was a bit hectic, specially since I decided to cover a friends wedding for an hour at noon and then had to be ready for our photo session that Laura covered at 3pm and the ceremony followed at 4pm.
Even the weather did not let us down..........no rain and not that cold for a February day, how could we ask for more.
Since we are not going on a honeymooon (I am covering a wedding this coming weekend and have a couple of appointments this week with potential brides) I decided to surprise Steve with a Valentines Brunch at Brass Town Bald Resort. It was lovely and I was happy to see that it had not changed over the years. I highly recommend their Sunday Bruch to anybody that would like to spend a special Sunday in the moutains.
We are chilling the rest of the day, but I am uploading a photo today so everybody
can see how happy we are to be husband and wife. Thank you Laura for putting up with me.......I know I can be terrible when it comes to somebody taking my photo :) I love you my friend......and also thank you to Kathy for covering our event on video I can't wait to see the footage. The photo that shows the mountains behind us also
shows the lovely building we got married in.

Steve has arrived!!!!

He arrived on Saturday after having to go through Immigration in Atlanta for 2 hours.
They gave him another trick question, which they are so famous for, but he answered it properly and ask them if they thought that this was it with trick questions :)
Anyway he is here safe and sound and after a nice dinner in Atlanta we came home.
It is so nice to have him here to share my life with. I don't think we realise how nice it really is until we have spend so many months apart.
I had decided to take a few days of from work and just enjoy being together after a 10 month separation. Yesterday we went and got our marriage licence and are now ready to prepare for our wedding on Valentines Day.
Laura, my trusted associate and Kathy my favorite videographer and friend will be here to cover this happy event. We will keep our wedding on a very small scale and it will he held at my best friend Chevins estate at www.splendormountain.com
It is a very romantic and charming place and she will actually do us the honor and marry us herself. After I get some of the photos back I will post some to share with everybody.
