Yesterday my little friend of 14 years had a stroke and he left us for doggie heaven last night. We will miss you little guy more then you will ever know. When I get sad I will remember all the good times we had. You are now with Daisy, Jody (your best friend) and Rugsy, they will take good care of you. Just remember that we will always love you and all of you will forever be in our hearts.
Run in the clouds Harley Barley..........run and be happy! I LOVE you so much!
P.S. I will even miss you pee'ng on my curtains, that was such a little thing to put up with for all the joy you gave me.

A Pretty Girl named Rosie!
The last week has been really exciting for us, we adopted a 4 year old black lab named Rosie from the local shelter. Her owner had died and she had been at the shelter since January.
Rosie is an absolute delightful little girl. The rest of our doggies took to her pretty quickly .....specially our 7 1/2 year old Golden Lacey. She now has a friend in her own size instead of living with the two mini doggies Mouse and Harley. Mouse is a 3 pound Chihuahua and Harley is our oldest member of the family.......he is a 15 year old Yorkie Poo with a very bossy personality .......but so so loving. My husband and I just love all of our doggies and Max our giant cat. I could not imagine our life without any of them.
Granted when we shoot weddings we have to hire a dog sitter to feed our babies or when we go out of town to stay at our house, but that is a very little thing for all the joy we receive from these guys.
So far I have only taken photos for Rosie with my phone, I am breaking her in easy into the life of a photographers doggie :)

North Georgia Photographer Engagement Session!
This past weekend I had such a lovely engagement session. I am just in love with this couple........they are so romantic and sweet. It was such fun to photograph them interacting so naturally with each other.
Great Reason to Hire a Professional Photographer
I have personally seen this happen at some weddings I attended as a guest. This is a really good
reason to hire a professional photographer if your photos are important to you. A friend send this to me today and I just had to post it :)

Glen Ella Springs Inn Wedding Published by Savvy Deets Bridal!
We are grateful and delighted to have another one of our weddings published today. This time Savvy Deets Bridal published Carrie and Shiloh's wedding that we photographed last year at Glen Ella Springs Inn. This venue is quite romantic with its beautiful gardens. Carrie looked so elegant in the dress she chose and her bouquet was really unusual and so fitting to her wedding. We just loved, loved this wedding so much.

Almost Time..............
It is almost time for the 2013 Weddings Season to get in full swing. I am ready to shoot some beautiful weddings this year and can't wait to see all of my lovely couples again. Steve and I love shooting weddings and being part of such joyful days.
This past weekend we found out we won another award for one of the most published photographers for 2012..........not bad since I did not started to submit weddings to wedding blogs until Fall of 2012. I feel so honored and happy. There are so many beautiful wedding blogs out there so go ahead and check them out for inspirations if you are planning a wedding. Life is good :)!

Love is meant to be forever even for Senior Dogs!
Most of the time I write about my weddings, wedding related things and post photos, but today I feel
like writing about something that is really troubling me lately. In the last few days I have noticed on Facebook so many adult and senior dogs being turned into shelters, most of the time kill shelters and it breaks my heart.
How can somebody just give away their friend, a member of their family for so many years. Is everything these days disposable? If something get's old do we just opt to throw it out even if it is
somebody that has been a faithful friend for so many years. But come to think about it not to long ago the elder humans in a family were cherished and taken care of by their family and now they usually end up in some nursing home, so why should it be different with the family dog. Something is not right with all this, maybe we should go back to the old ways and keep the ones that gave us life, nurtured us and loved us the love and care they deserve. Maybe then the family dog will also have a chance to live out his life within the family instead of being dumped into a shelter when he is not young and cute anymore or when he might start to smell a little bit different. There is something to be said of the good old times.........when LOVE meant to be forever even for Senior Dogs.
I do have a request, please don't buy a dog, please adopt one of the many babies old or young that are waiting in shelters for a forever home........ save a life and PLEASE SPAY or NEUTER your dog!

Highlands, North Carolina Wedding Photographer
Cariad Photography covers weddings all over the South East including Highlands, NC. We truly enjoyed photographing this wedding at the summer home of our couples parents. The colors of the flowers were so fitting for the surroundings and the chocolate wedding cake was perfect for the woodsy feeling of the wedding.
