I have been an artist for as long as I can remember and photography is my passion. I used to be a successful fine artist, but since I shot my first wedding I never looked back. I am madly and completely in love with weddings, I guess it is the romantic in me :)

Beautiful Wedding in the Sautee Nacoochee Valley!

Yesterday we covered a beautiful wedding in Sautee. The event was held the yard of this beautiful home with a private waterfall. Even though it was so hot and humid the couple, Steve and I climbed down the steep hill to the base of the waterfall to catch some special moments there since Brian proposed to Debbie at this magic place months before. Congratulations Debbie and Brian on your marriage and the merging of two lovely families.

Highlands, N.C. Wedding and the Magic behind Photo Editing

Laura shot a wedding for us on June 5th in Highlands and she gave me some wonderful photos to work with. We were talking about all the post work I do at times to the photographs we take and she suggested I should put up one with the before and after image, so my clients can see the transformation. She took a beautiful photograph of the bride in the doorway and you can see the original image in color. I had already cleaned up the photo by making the table with all its clutter to the right of the door disappear because it interfered with the beauty of the picture and then I took it a step further. I wanted the image to be more ethereal and by making it black and white I believe I accomplished that. Of course I don't do that to all the photographs we take, but some just lend itself to a little more then a pretty photo.....they become a piece of art and what some of my clients call my signature images.

Booking Weddings!

We are still booking weddings for 2010, but already started on 2011 and also have 2012 inquiries. It is turning out to be a very busy year for us and already had to turn down so many brides because the date that they requested was already booked.
We still have a couple of days open in November and December. If you are getting married in 2011 please don't wait to long to call us.......specially for the months that are generally prime wedding months as May, June, September, October and November...Steve and I would love to hear from you so we don't have to say......SORRY we are already booked.

Top of the World Wedding.....

Yesterday Brandy and Dax got married on top of the world.....I mean on top of the world. Their venue was up on the top of this mountain and it turned out to be a lovely day. As we drove there it rained so hard and all the mountain tops were covered in haze and fog, but as we arrived at the venue.......the sky opened up and it turned into a lovely day. Just before the ceremony the sun came out of the cloud cover and when we went to do the couple photos it was so bright that we were trying to find a little shade. We had a wonderful time with this couple and it was great fun for Steve and myself to do their photos. Congratulations Brandy and Dax :)!

Coming Saturday!

This coming Saturday we are shooting a wedding at a venue and from what I was told it is on top of a mountain, actually it is the highest point in Franklin, N.C. We are going up on Friday to check everything out. Steve and I tried to find it a few weeks ago, but when I went up the wrong mountain road in my Corvette and had to turn around at a very narrow point we decided to wait until the bride would take us up. I have been living in these mountains long enough to know how easily you can end up in no mans land :) and this time I will borrow my dog's little Mazda to drive up on that mountain, I don't think I want to take my BABY up on some back road once again.
Laura, my associate is shooting a wedding for us the same day in Highlands, N.C. at one of my favorite venues.........The Farm at Half Mile is beautiful and I know Laura will enjoy photographing the wedding. We are so lucky to cover weddings at such lovely places.
