Savannah Georgia August 2012

Last weekend I finally took some time of to spend with my husband and family in Savannah, GA. It was a lovely drive from the mountains to the coast and Steve and I enjoyed seeing the scenery. This was the fist vist to Savannah for my Welsh husband and I could not wait to show him. Savannah is so full of history ..........it reminds me of Europe every time I go. I have to say I was a little disappointed this time, it had been years since I visited this lovely town and I was amazed how run down some of the buildings on Riverstreet were this time. You would think the city would take better care of one of their main tourist streets. My daughter and I would meet at 6 AM every morning to walk around and take photos and we ended up on Riverstreet one morning and it was downright junky. Homeless sleeping on the benches ........garbage everywhere, it really made me feel sad to see that. I have to say I will go back, but this time I will go past Savannah straight to Tybee Island.

Trash the Dress Session in North Georgia Waterfall!

This past weekend we had a great time with Barbara and Daniel. This past May we photographed their wedding and we made a date to do the Trash the Dress Session this weekend. At first we had
it scheduled for Saturday, but the weather did not look good so we decided to play Saturday with this lovely couple ..........having lunch, taking a tour of Rabun County and topping it of with homemade ice cream from the incredible Creamery in North Carolina. Sunday morning we met again and
it was a perfect day for our session. Steve and I love doing these sessions with our couples and this one was incredible. Daniel and Barbara are so easy to work with and we shot some really beautiful photos. Sure, the water was cold, but after a while we forgot how could it really was.
