Two Wedding Weekend - Chota Falls and Augusta!

Just trying to catch up on my edits. Been sick for over a week but I am getting there. We had 3 weddings a week ago and this weekend we had 2..........busy time of year for us, but it feels great to be wanted :) just wished I would get over over the sinus infection before the next wedding.

3 Wedding Weekend - Chota Falls and Glen Ella Springs!

Last weekend we had 3 weddings........all with lovely couples. Steve and I covered two of those weddings and Laura our associate the other. It was hectic but great! I am a little behind with the edits and the posting here since I been sick for the past week, but keep an eye out for more photos to come soon.

Today is MY day to take a break and just play........I am always happy when I can give my artistic side free run...........
Lilacs are one of my favorite flowers and I took this photo on one of my trips to Germany a few years back. It took a while for me to do to the photo what I had wanted to do, today was finally the day :)

Waterfall Trash the Dress Sessions!

One of my favorite times of summer are the Trash the Dress Sessions. They are always so much fun, specially if we have such a sweet and romantic couple as Jennifer and Billy were. Usually we do the sessions months before or after the wedding, but this year we have one the day after the wedding. I can't wait...... :)

Franklin, NC is known for their gems.....

Franklin has always been known for their gems......but Jodi from  "rik-see Photography" is the biggest gem
that Franklin has. Photographing babies and children is such a special art and Jodi truly has the feeling for those little guys. Her photos are so special and the way she captures the spirit of the children is magical. I am very careful when I recommend another photographer.......I really, really have to love somebodies work and I LOVE Jodi's work.
Her family sessions are equally beautiful......I don't think she can ever do anything that is not. Wedding at the Dillard House in Dillard, Georgia!

We have been under a threat of rain storms for days, so of course we were hoping it would hold of yesterday when we shot Kristin and Cort's wedding at the Dillard House. It did...........and it was a perfect day. Kristin was a lovely young woman and so kind and Cort and his brother kept us laughing around the clock it could not have been a better day.
I have lived in the North Georgia Mountains for 24 years and every time I see those mountains I fall in love again with the magic of this area. Steve and I feel so blessed to be able to shoot weddings with such beautiful backdrops and if the couple is as nice as this one...........things are just perfect.

Rain, Rain GO AWAY!

Ok Rain, you know the wedding season is starting.....it is time you go away, at least on weekends :) I don't mind shooting in the rain, but it makes so many brides unhappy. One of my very favorite weddings I ever shot was shot during one of the most violent rain storms ever and we got such wonderful romantic photos in the rain. So girls don't get disappointed, just go with it and enjoy your special day.......even if it rains :)

Meredith and Kevin Atlanta Engagement Session!

Laura had a lot of fun shooting Meredith and Kevin's engagement session and I had just as much fun with the edit of the photos she took. Cariad goes so far beyond expectation! posted 4/30/2012

I absolutely cannot sing their praises enough. They deserve 6 stars if I was allowed to create one extra. My experience with them was more than perfect from beginning to end. Because photos and/or video is the greatest avenue to our wedding memories, we were more picky about our photographer than anything else. Cariad blew me away. We did our engagement photos with them as well as our wedding day and I have never had so much fun and more importantly had the most amazing photo books and prints of my entire life!! Steffi and Steve will keep you on task the entire time before the event and especially the day of. Their attention to detail is so appreciated. Steffi was soooooooo easy to reach (which is so important in planning because it can be hard to juggle all the contacts)-she answered the phone EVERY single time I called her. She would call me about alerts on what to bring, what to remember, etc. It's so stress free working with them and your photos are going to be even more wonderful than you can ever imagine. My best friend is a professional photographer and she was so amazed with their work that she couldn't even believe what she saw. I would promise you over and over again that you will not be sorry you chose them. Price for photos, books, video, etc. is perfect for anyone. They have so many choices, and they bring actual books for you to see. I would have never changed my photographers/videographers for anything in this whole world!!
