Today!

Today is a wedding photographers nightmare. The weather man calls for rain, large hail and high winds. I just hope we have a small window to take some pictures outside for the bride, she so much wants photos by this beautiful waterfall and I do
want to be able to do that for her. Maybe we will get lucky......... I certainly hope so.

Callenwolde Wedding of Fritzie Cathcart to Seattle Sea Hawks player Kelly Jennings.

On March 7th Laura and I covered a wedding at Callenwolde in Atlanta. Fritzie and Kelly were a lovely couple and the wedding was absolutely magic. It was such a pleasure to spend time with Fritzie, she was such a sweet bride.

Weddings and Marriages

I am involved with weddings and marriages almost every weekend of the year. It is such a joy to see couples start out their new lifes together and it warms my heart to be part of those weddings by recording their special day with my photography.
On February 14th I was fortunate to say "I DO" at my own wedding and it is so nice
to have my husband in my life. I knew I was lonely when my husband of 30 years died a few years ago, but now I see how alone I really was. It is so nice to look over and see Steve in the other room doing whatever he is doing at the moment, knowing that I can ask him something and get a response. It is also nice that I don't have to figure out problems by myself anymore.......he is always there with a kind word and a suggestion on how I might solve whatever is going wrong at the moment. It is even nicer when he walks past me with this endearing smile on his face......that smile that made me fall in love with him. Steve is a happy go lucky kind of guy and
that is what I need in my life........because I can take things very serious, sometimes to serious and he is showing me that things will be ok and there is nothing to worry about. I thank God every day for having such a wonderful and kind husband. I hope all my brides are as lucky as I am :)

Yesterday Susan and Steve got married at Glen Ella, a lovely romantic place nestled in the woods near Clarkesville, Georgia. It was a pleasure to cover their wedding, we were so lucky the weather did not let us down and it turned out to be a wonderful day for February.

Wet Cat!

Last night Steve and I decided to go into the hot tub and we took Lacey our Golden Retriever out with us so she could run around a bit. Well, she and Max our cat decided to chase each other and Max jumped into the 103 degree water by mistake thinking the cover was on. What a surprise...........when he landed. After I got out I looked for him, because I did not want him to stay outside all wet and when I found him he was covered in icicles.........and was so happy that he was able to get warm in front of the fire. Poor little guy, but I have to say it was funny, if we had this on video we would win the price for funniest home videos for sure.

Almost a week........

Tomorrow it will be a week that Steve and I are married. I have to say it has been
a wonderful week and I hope with all my heart that our life will always be as nice as it has been so far.
We received one of the most thoughtful gifts from a friend of mine, Catherine Miller...... Catherine is an incredible artist. She made Steve and I the most beautiful crystal glasses for our wedding. They are one of a kind and we will always treasure them. Thank you Catherine, not only are the glasses special, but so are you.
