This is the time of year I sometimes work on my own photos. These were taken in my Birth Town in Germany. I love that place and all of it's history. The castle high above the town is called Wartburg and it was there that Martin Luther translated the bible while he was imprisoned there. It was also the home of Saint Elizabeth. The town itself was the home of many famous creative people. Even Napoleon stopped there once.......it was not a nice visit, but it turned out ok for the town.
For many years I was not able to visit my birthplace because it was in the eastern part of Germany, but once east and west Germany became one I made quite a few visits to this incredible romantic town to record its beauty with my photography.
