I have been an artist for as long as I can remember and photography is my passion. I used to be a successful fine artist, but since I shot my first wedding I never looked back. I am madly and completely in love with weddings, I guess it is the romantic in me :)

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers Day to all the dad's that love and care for their children. My two son in laws are the best dad's and I am so proud of both. As for my dad he was a great man and a loving father. He was very strict, but he meant well and most of all he loved me. Sometimes I did not understand why he was so strict and even today I don't understand some of this thinking, but he did the best he knew how and it came from his heart. He wanted me to be the best I could be and to this day I live by the values he installed in me. So it could not have been a bad thing :)

My dad accomplished a lot in this life......he raised 4 children, three of them during world war II ......I was he last of his kids and so I did not have to live through all the tough times, by the time I was born the war was over and shortly after he was transferred to Brazil to become the director of Volkswagen do Brazil. I lived an enchanted life in South America, but most of the time had to be behind tall walls for my protection.......in those days kidnapping of children for ransom was not unheard of. But it was a wonderful time anyway......we would go to our weekend apartment on one of the islands almost every weekend and things were a lot less confined there then in the City of Sao Paulo.
I have wonderful memories of those times on the beach.......
A few years later we moved back to Germany because my dad had accepted the job of the Director of BMW Triebwerkbau in Munich. My father bought a house in the country for us and it was heaven......I lived in this little village in Bavaria....which to this day I love. My dad bought me a horse and I spend every day riding in the woods and fields without having to worry about kidnappings. It was heaven to a young girl. My dad proudly watched me ride my horse.......there were days that he took the train home from the factory and I would wait for the train in the field beside the tracks and ride alongside until it stopped in the little train station and then we would walk home together. I treasured those days...... Wonderful memories to this day! My dad was a very busy man, but he always had time to talk to me....and he always made me feel loved....except in his stict moments of course hahahaha.
Happy Fathers Day daddy..... :) and thank you for the life you gave me.

My dear friend, I am so happy to read this here. You are a treasure and your father loved you so much and the strength that you give to our friendship is there because, we each had fathers that were strong. I am so proud of you and the determination you have displayed in raising your kids and being a loving wife and the art you have cultivated and shared with many.
I am so grateful for the wonderful man God brought into your life and the cariad you share together.
Your wedding photos and albums are the best. I am so thankful for all you have done for me and my family. Cariad Photography is top notch.
