On one of the last beautiful days this fall we photographed Kelton and Zac's engagement session. I have to say this couple made our day..........lots of laughs and a couple that interacted so naturally that it made our session really fun. We still had some color in the leaves and we also chose to shoot some of the photos in the Chota Falls Vineyard which was beautifully golden in color. Congratulations Kelton and Zac, Steve and I can't wait to shoot your wedding this coming year.

Almost time...............
It is almost time for Christmas.............to bad we are not having snow, but then we don't get snow very often around here anyway. I have been working on my last wedding edit determined to get it done. Tomorrow will probably not be much different. The groom is deployed and I hope me uploading photos during Christmas and him following the uploads will make his time a away from his beautiful bride a little easier during the holidays.
It has to be so hard to be send to a foreign land so soon after your wedding. I am so grateful to him and all the other soldiers for keeping all of as safe during this holiday season and throughout the year.
Merry Christmas to all the guys and girls in the military that can't be with their families!

Memories of my Birth - Town!
This is the time of year I sometimes work on my own photos. These were taken in my Birth Town in Germany. I love that place and all of it's history. The castle high above the town is called Wartburg and it was there that Martin Luther translated the bible while he was imprisoned there. It was also the home of Saint Elizabeth. The town itself was the home of many famous creative people. Even Napoleon stopped there once.......it was not a nice visit, but it turned out ok for the town.
For many years I was not able to visit my birthplace because it was in the eastern part of Germany, but once east and west Germany became one I made quite a few visits to this incredible romantic town to record its beauty with my photography.

It breaks my heart ..............
When I can't post photos or limited photos of a wedding specially if I have really beautiful ones, but I do want my clients happy so I abide by their wishes. I got permission to post 4 photos, so I will have to be very choosy what I will post :) I have decided to stretch it out and post a new one every day while I work on the edit.
Update: My couple decided I can share the photos...........THAT made my day!

A little bit artsy!
Sometimes I get in the mood to play and today was such a time. Megan was one of my brides this year. I loved the photograph when I took it, but sometimes it is really fun to put an artistic spin on one.

Poptastic Bride published Brandy and Robert's Wedding
The lovely wedding of Brandy and Robert and their sweet flower girl Joy was published today by Poptastic Bride. We are thrilled and a big thank you to this lovely blog and to our friend and associate Laura for shooting the wedding for us since we were busy shooting at another venue.
I was really jealous that Laura was shooting the event........ I LOVE LOVE horses so much and Joy looked so much like the horse I once shared my life with.
It was so much fun to do the edit of the photos.
