I have been an artist for as long as I can remember and photography is my passion. I used to be a successful fine artist, but since I shot my first wedding I never looked back. I am madly and completely in love with weddings, I guess it is the romantic in me :)

Beautiful Wedding in the Sautee Nacoochee Valley!

Yesterday we covered a beautiful wedding in Sautee. The event was held the yard of this beautiful home with a private waterfall. Even though it was so hot and humid the couple, Steve and I climbed down the steep hill to the base of the waterfall to catch some special moments there since Brian proposed to Debbie at this magic place months before. Congratulations Debbie and Brian on your marriage and the merging of two lovely families.

Highlands, N.C. Wedding and the Magic behind Photo Editing

Laura shot a wedding for us on June 5th in Highlands and she gave me some wonderful photos to work with. We were talking about all the post work I do at times to the photographs we take and she suggested I should put up one with the before and after image, so my clients can see the transformation. She took a beautiful photograph of the bride in the doorway and you can see the original image in color. I had already cleaned up the photo by making the table with all its clutter to the right of the door disappear because it interfered with the beauty of the picture and then I took it a step further. I wanted the image to be more ethereal and by making it black and white I believe I accomplished that. Of course I don't do that to all the photographs we take, but some just lend itself to a little more then a pretty photo.....they become a piece of art and what some of my clients call my signature images.
